Job description

Reporting to the Director of Customer Service, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the logistics planning according to operational needs, transportation shipment tracking, strategic stock planning, parts ordering, parts receiving and issuing parts out to the correct work order. They will be responsible for receiving parts into the ERP system for “part outs” at an average rate of 4 parts per hour. They will be responsible for providing a high-quality customer experience, combining speed of processing, efficiency and accuracy.

Responsabilities

  • Prepare orders (packaging, shipment, proper documentas) as needed;
  • Receive and inspect incoming parts;
  • Take part in the ordering, receipt, review, storing, distrigution and approval of items or services and maintaining stock levels for internal and external customers;
  • Process purchase request from all Departments within the Company;
  • Ensure we are receiving the best price from Vendors by collecting multiple quotes when available;
  • Contact Suppliers to schedule deliveries, discuss shortage, long lead times and missed deliveries;
  • Enter “part out” inventory into the ERP system at an average of 4 parts per hour;
  • Responsible for shipping Hazemet and non-hazemet materials;
  • Performs administrative and clerical duties using computers including large amounts of data entry;
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies;
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed at all times;
  • Responsible for ensuring that all work area is kept in an orderly manner for maximum efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in shipping hazardous materials, must be certified or able to get certified within 30 days;
  • Have experience in export;
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Solution oriented with an ability to take initiative, creating, implementing and improving policies and procedures;
  • Must have an understanding of Supply Chain Procedures;
  • Possess a valid driver’s license;
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and able to drive a forklift.
