Beloeil, March 18, 2026 – Optima Aero, a global leader specializing in the supply of reconditioned parts and engines and maintenance services, announces the expansion of its technical capabilities to include PT6A engines. This strategic milestone marks a significant step in the company’s growth beyond the rotary-wing segment.

For more than 15 years, Optima Aero has established itself as a trusted reference in helicopter component maintenance and repair, particularly for the PT6B, PT6C-67C, PT6T, and PW200 engine series. Today, the company is extending this proven expertise and rigorous approach to the fixed-wing market by integrating PT6A engines into its service offering.

This expansion is supported by robust infrastructure and well-established processes already in place within Optima Aero’s workshops. The company now offers comprehensive services for PT6A engines, including engine repair, fuel nozzle services, full engine teardown, and detailed inspections conducted in strict accordance with Engine Maintenance Manual (EMM) requirements. “Over the past several years, we have invested in our technical capabilities with a clear vision: to extend our expertise beyond the rotary-wing segment. The integration of PT6A engines is a natural evolution for Optima Aero. It allows us to meet growing market demand while maintaining the quality and performance standards that define our reputation,” said Toby Gauld, President of Optima Aero. This expansion reflects Optima Aero’s strategic intent to offer operators a broader range of services while leveraging the deep internal expertise developed over the years.

“Our teams apply extremely rigorous standards, whether working on helicopter engines or now on PT6A engines. Each engine is handled using a methodical approach that strictly adheres to manufacturer requirements. This expansion demonstrates the maturity of our processes and our ability to broaden our scope of expertise without compromising quality,” added Bruno Thuot, Director of Maintenance at Optima Aero.

The development of this new service is also supported by the company’s commercial teams.

With this initiative, Optima Aero is addressing a wide range of fixed-wing aircraft operators, including those operating platforms such as Air Tractor, King Air, Cessna Caravan, Pilatus, Kodiak, Beaver,

Beechcraft, Piper, and other aircraft powered by PT6A engines. The company aims to provide operators with a specialized, reliable, and agile alternative for high-performance technical solutions.
