Job description
Imagine that every helicopter part that passes through our warehouses tells a story: that of a life cycle that we choose to extend in order to reduce aviation's environmental footprint. At Optima Aero, you don't just manage numbers in a system; you determine the future of our assets around the world.
The Inventory Manager, Analytics and Optimization position is at the heart of this strategic vision. Working closely with our finance, logistics and operations teams, you will become the focal point between technical data and financial performance. Your expertise will contribute directly to the profitability and fluidity of flows across all our international sites, transforming every inventory decision into a lever for success.
What You Will Do
In this strategic role, you will oversee inventory engineering to maximise the profitability of assets across all our sites. You will be required to:
- Strategic analysis and modelling: Optimize inventory parameters (Kanban, min/max, safety stock) using statistical methods and establish valuation strategies for slow-moving inventory (circular revaluation, part-out or repair).
- Asset audit and integrity: Oversee multi-site physical audits and cycle counts. Apply problem-solving methods (root cause analysis) to correct discrepancies and collaborate with finance to assess inventory valuation and risks.
- Repair and performance engineering: Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for complex repair decisions and act as a technical advisor to management for the approval of major estimates.
- Supplier and flow performance: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), lead supplier performance reviews, support the negotiation of service agreements and ensure the smooth flow of information between logistics, suppliers and finance.
- Documentation and system optimisation: Standardise operational protocols, draft technical documentation related to inventory management, and configure the ERP system to ensure multi-site technical traceability.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- Education : bachelor’s degree in operations management, logistics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in inventory management, logistics or demand planning, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Technical skills: Excellent knowledge of ERP systems, inventory management methods (Kanban, cycle counting) and lot sizing.
- Behavioural skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organisational skills, rigour and a proven ability to manage priorities in a multi-site environment.
- Languages: French/English bilingualism required, both spoken and written.
- Assets : Experience in the aerospace industry, knowledge of helicopter components and/or engines.
