Job description

Under the responsibility of the Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM), the MRO technician is responsible for performing technical tasks such as disassembly, assembly, cleaning, testing, inspection, and certification of aircraft components and engines. This is done according to Optima Aéro Inc.'s standards. The individual fulfills operational demands as well as other related tasks.

Responsabilities

  • Inspect and certify turbine engine components.
  • Perform tests on components (e.g., Fuel Nozzle).
  • Accurately complete technical documentation, such as forms, checklists, removal labels, and technical logs.
  • Enter all work performed and parts/products used into the maintenance management system.
  • Perform quality control on the required work.
  • May need to clean parts.
  • Assemble and disassemble engine parts and aircraft components.
  • May need to transport parts, components, modules, or engines between workstations or departments.
  • Perform work efficiently and safely.
  • Keep the supervision informed of work progress.
  • Adhere to the company’s safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean workspace, equipment, and tools at all times.
  • Assume any other responsibilities compatible with their role as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Mechanical Assembly; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • All applicable qualifications must meet the current employment requirements of the company.
  • Category M license (an asset).
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
  • Experience with Pratt & Whitney engines (an asset).
