Every part entering our shop has a story and a critical mission. As a Machinist, you are the keystone of our client service: you aren't doing mass production; you are providing custom solutions.
Your daily challenge? Restoring full functionality to complex helicopter parts. Through your mastery of conventional lathes, you ensure the repair and adjustment of essential components with absolute precision. Your expertise allows our clients to get their equipment back in the air faster, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of their flight operations.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Mastering Precision Machining: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools (lathe, milling machine, boring machine) to perform complex operations such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding, ensuring precise dimensional adjustment of aeronautical parts and tools
- Orchestrating Technical Preparation: Read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications to determine required operations, perform tolerance calculations, prepare raw materials, and execute rigorous equipment set-ups
- Guaranteeing Excellence and Quality: Use advanced measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, optical comparators) to validate part compliance with technical drawings, while ensuring the maintenance and calibration of these critical tools
- Collaborating and Ensuring Safety: Actively participate in daily meetings and continuous improvement initiatives, complete required technical documentation, and maintain safe work practices at all times
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Education: A Vocational Diploma (DEP) in conventional machining techniques or relevant training
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in conventional machining
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to read complex blueprints, excellent mastery of measuring instruments, and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Personal qualities: Great attention to detail, autonomy, and a good team spirit
- Languages: Bilingualism required (French and English, spoken and written)
- Assets: Experience on turbine engines or in the aerospace sector is a significant asset
