Job description

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Technician
maintains the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner with emphasis on
compliance with the FAA and evaluates the services offered by the
organization with the aim of continuously improving the quality of products
and services.

Responsabilities

  • Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by
    the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory
    body;
  • Perform routine maintenance checks;
  • Interpreting Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins for
    application on helicopters;
  • Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to
    assist with troubleshooting and repairs;
  • Keep detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft
    in accordance with the repair station guidelines;
  • Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed
    records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations;
  • Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent)
    and company standards;
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs
    and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Airframe & Powerplant license required;
  • Must be familiar with using test equipment for track and balance;
  • Familiar with using measuring instruments such as dial calipers,
    micrometers, dial bore gauges, feeler gauges, and borescopes;
  • 3+ years’ experience as a helicopter mechanic, with at least 2 years on
    designated helicopters (Airbus – AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145, BK117;
    Agusta –109, 119, 139, 169; Bell – 206, 407, 429, 412; MD – 500);
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools;
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals;
  • Must have your own tools;
  • Any OEM school training within the past 4 years;
  • Must be able to read and write English;
  • Available to travel as required;
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
